The narrow aisle forklift has been made to function in narrow storage spaces by increasing the ratio between the space and the aisle width. Yale makes the double reach NDR and single reach NR models that are used for aisle widths between eight and ten feet. The Narrow Aisle trucks made by Yale provide a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment that has various stance and control handle configurations and use best-in-class ergonomics.
NR & NDR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To meet a wider variety of operations, there are many control handle configurations such as the aft stance, the choice of fore, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: This technology provides powerful acceleration and deceleration as well as fast lifting speeds. It has been manufactured for quick plugging so as to facilitate more responsive directional changes that combine to increase the amount of cargo moved during a shift.
Mast & Reach Assembly: The trunion mounting and tapered roller bearings are part of the mast reach assembly. This increases the mast rigidity and durability; along with the reach assembly carriage which are reinforced for long life as well as the gusseted rear frame weldment.
Power Lowering: Yale provides industry leading lowering speeds and these uploaded speeds greatly improve the overall throughput and production.
Regenerative Lowering: The regenerative lowering is a great feature which maintains lower oil operating temperature whilst reducing battery changes per shift.
Electronic Steering: To greatly reduce energy, the electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the steer effort is actually technician adjustable so as to reduce operator fatigue. During the start-up process, drive tire centers automatically start.
Order Selectors: The narrow aisle trucks and the very narrow aisle trucks are also referred to as order pickers. These equipment are designed for the manual handling of racked loads which are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors elevate both the cargo and the operator to its required height. This height could be over 30 feet. Like most turret trucks they are generally guided by rail or wire when used in very narrow aisle applications.
