Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A kind of machinery that could carry loads which are approximately 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also referred to as a counterbalance. Despite being sturdy and big, these industrial machines still carry the possible chance of crash or accident. To be able to be very safe, be certain to have operators put on an appropriate seat belt inside the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are also on board. We all know that in case of an accident, seat belts could save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The kinds of seat belts which could extend both across the upper body and over the lap are the three-point seat belts. These types of belts offer an extra degree of safety by protecting your body. They are offered in both bench-seat and buckle-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are offered in either non-retractable or retractable styles.
Most modern motor vehicles on the market provide retractable seat belts. Though non-retractable styles increase safety, retractable types provide more comfort. It is not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are those which extend over the lower portion of the body. Most lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and then the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The type of seat belt which forces a forklift operator to wear a seat belt is a circuit-closed seat belt. These types of seat belts have a micro-switch attached which makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both non-retractable and retractable lap-band types.
