Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks provide height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the person using it to lift the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the load away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform meant specifically to lift staff. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
